Karen: Hi YvonneI just found your journal by "accident" and must definately call in again when I have more time. I can`t believe some of the things on your page which cry out to tell me I was "guided" here, lol... I work spiritually under the name of Rainbow with my soulmate who is known as spectrum, I see your references to the word "Why" which is the title of "our song", and we jokingly call our story the "Neverending story"... I see you used that for your music recently ;-)It seems we have some thi

Living More Positively

  • Current Mood: Very positive!
  • Current Music Anything fantasy...
  • Current Book(s) You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay

Hello again. This is just a short blog from me on something very dear to my heart. Positive thinking and how we can do more of it. Positive thinking alone won't solve our problems, I know. However if we can put ourselves in a more positive frame of mind it really can help. It's the best way I know to encourage more situations into our lives, which will give us in even more things to be positive about.

I got to thinking about some lovely, positive things that have happened to me this last year, and my favourite of all was the wonderful holiday I spent in Jersey. I have loads of beautiful photographs that I took while I was there, and Jersey's Battle of Flowers has to be seen to be believed! I've also been introduced to 'Youtube' recently and found many lovely, inspirational videos on there. So I decided to make my own short video of my holiday, which would remind me of the great time I had and thus put me in a more positive frame of mind whenever I looked at it. And do you know what? It works! It's a great way of reliving a happy time and certainly helps me to find something positive to be grateful for, even if I'm having the occasional 'off day'. You can see the video by clicking on the link above.

Of course, you don't have to go to all the trouble of making your own video, but you could put some of your treasured photograph on display where you will see them often, or even make a scrapbook of special family occasions. Or, to make things even easier, you could make a mental video where you see yourself doing some of the wonderful things you've done. If you play this video back to yourself as you're going to sleep at night, and maybe in the morning too, as you're getting ready for your day, you'll have a wonderful tool for helping you to become more positive. And what's more – you'll really enjoy it! And as a bonus, the Universe will be sending you even more lovely things to keep you positive!
